About the Chef

Colorado Home Chef, LLC is owned and operated by Chef Tim Midyett.
A Colorado native, Tim had a passion for food and cooking from an early age.
He washed, prepped, sautéd, grilled, plated and catered his way though high school and college. After earning a B.A. in Fine Art from the University of
Northern Colorado, Tim married the love of his life and eventually
returned home to Arvada.

While working in the art and framing industry, Tim decided to pursue his love for
food. He enrolled in the Food and Wine Career Program at Cook Street School
of Fine Cooking and studied French and Italian cooking. In December of 2003,
he graduated from Cook Street with a diploma and the distinction of Chef of
Wine Arts and I.W.G. certified sommelier.

After four more years in art and framing, Tim decided to take his passion for creativity back into the kitchen. With two small children at home, a restaurant
job with restaurant hours was not the answer.

After deciding to pursue a career as a personal chef, Tim enrolled in the
Culinary Business Academy, joined the United States Personal Chef Association
and in March, 2008, Colorado Home Chef was born.
